Farm & Feast Demo: Cozy Farm to Table Restaurant Sim

Farm & Feast is a cozy farm to table restaurant sim: grow crops, fish, bake bread and serve guests. Free demo 97% positive, full game out Nov 11.

Official Farm & Feast Steam capsule: a smiling ginger haired girl with her hair in a bun, wearing a cream shirt and denim shorts, holds up a plate of spaghetti with tomato sauce next to the Farm & Feast wordmark, in front of a farmhouse with a red tile roof and patio umbrellas, tomato plants, golden wheat, goats and chickens on green hills (dummy dino)

Honestly, the Farm & Feast demo has the most satisfying garden hose I have ever seen in a game, and I mean that as a real compliment. Farm & Feast is a cozy farm to table restaurant sim: you grow your own ingredients in the morning, then run a little restaurant in the evening and serve the food you grew. The free demo has been on Steam since September 11, 2026, and the full game launches November 11, 2026 on Windows, Mac and Linux. App ID 4521650.

The reception is strong. As of about 11:00 BRT on October 24, the Steam page shows 97% of 324 demo reviews as positive, Very Positive, and 97% of the 194 reviews from the last 30 days are positive too.

What is Farm & Feast?

The Steam page calls it a relaxing simulation game where a warm little farm meets an adorable cozy restaurant, and it keeps repeating the same promise: everything moves at your own pace. Your day starts on the farm in the morning and ends with customers at the restaurant in the evening. The feature list on the store page goes like this:

  • Farming and harvest: plant seeds, water your crops and send the fresh produce to your kitchen.
  • Fishing: head down to the shore, cast a line and reel in fish for the menu.
  • Restaurant management: greet guests, seat them, take their orders and bring the bill.
  • Mini games and a market: small minigames at the restaurant, plus a market for seeds and supplies.

Players tag it Management, Farming Sim, Cozy, Shop Keeper, Time Management, Fishing and Cooking. There is no Horror tag, no content descriptors and no AI disclosure on the store page, and Brazil rates it L, free for all ages. You play as a ginger haired farmer chef the patch notes call Daisy.

The hose is the whole vibe

Most farming games hand you a watering can and call it a day. This one gives you a long green garden hose hooked up to a water tank, and you drag it across the whole field while the spray arcs over your tomatoes and cabbages.

Official Farm & Feast screenshot: Daisy, a small ginger haired farmer, sprays an arc of water from a long green garden hose over tidy plots of tomatoes, carrots, cabbages and yellow flowers, with a blue water tank and a hand pump behind her, cobblestone paths, lamp posts and round trees around the field (Steam)

The little details are why it went around on X. The developer wrote that watering with a can felt a bit boring, so they changed it: the hose gets tangled, and the plants actually react when the water hits them. A follow up post said players liked the hose last time, so they worked on it more, so now it wraps around more trees and the plants look nicer. In a reply the dev admitted that watching the hose get tangled turned out to be way more fun than they expected. Same, honestly.

The art direction backs that up. It is a chunky isometric 3D look with soft round trees, cobblestone paths, terracotta roofs and tiny people with big heads. The palette is warm and grassy in the day and goes plum and lamplight at night, and it reads cute but sharp, never plastic.

Running the restaurant

The second half of your day is service, and it is where the management side lives.

You take orders, bring them to your chefs and then sweep floors and clear tables while the pans sizzle. A wrong dish or a forgotten request upsets a guest and dents your reputation, so it is not totally zero stakes. The demo patches added two lovely safety valves: a Coffee Stand that freezes a waiting guest's patience bar for a while, and a Dessert Stand that raises a guest's rating after a late dish or a mistake. Neither one earns profit, so you only pour or plate when service goes sideways. The bill is a tiny Check Please minigame where you type the amount on your keyboard.

The town around the restaurant feels alive too. This week the dev showed how they added people walking around town, and explained in a reply that the animation is baked into a texture so the GPU plays it and 150 of them stay cheap to run.

What is in the demo?

The demo has grown a lot through its patches. Fishing unlocks at 800 Hype: you buy the rod at the Workshop, head to the new dock, hold to cast and reel, and ease off when the fish fights back or the line snaps. A full wheat to flour to bread chain sends bales to the Windmill and flour into Bread, Pizza and Pasta Makers. There is also a harvest basket on Daisy's back, a market delivery van, a day and night cycle, smarter chefs who can share a dish type, and a Decoration Mode with style previews and selling for 90% of the price. Workshop upgrades cover a bigger drink tray and carrying several plates at once.

Accessibility looks thoughtful on the store page: adjustable difficulty, no timed inputs, save anytime and full controller support. The minimum spec asks for 4 GB of RAM and 5 GB of storage. There are 14 languages, with Portuguese from Portugal but no Brazilian Portuguese yet. No price is listed.

What our clip shows

Three takes from the official Gameplay Trailer on Steam. First, Daisy waters the field with that long green hose. Second, the restaurant at full service, plates going out to checkered tables while the chefs cook. Third, she casts a fishing line off the pier and reels it back in. No menus, no logo cards.

Who makes Farm & Feast?

Steam lists dummy dino as developer and publisher. The demo launch post on Steam is signed by zbeedev and arttec, who describe themselves as a two person core indie team, and the dev account on X says this is what they have been building for the last year. @zbeedev has about 1,240 followers, posts the technical process in English and Japanese, and answers players one by one.

Is the demo worth it?

Yeah, especially if you love the cooking half of cozy games more than the farming half, because here both halves feed each other. Fair warnings: the restaurant can get busy, the camera stays isometric, and there is no PT-BR text yet. The good stuff is everything else: a hose that is genuinely fun, a warm art direction, and a tiny team that keeps patching. My verdict: honestly a top cozy wishlist for November 11. If you want more cozy on the same launch day, our Bottled by Bears writeup is a sweet next stop.

Reckon the date is the clever bit. Demo out since September, patched steadily, and a firm November 11 launch, so it is a proper wishlist now, buy on the day sort of job.

Honestly what clicked for me is the pier: you stop managing for a minute, cast a line, and the fish ends up on the menu. Pretty solid loop for a two person team, you bet.

Deadass, the hose clip is what sold me, not the restaurant. If service stays this forgiving in the full game it might get mad repetitive, so give me harder rush days later on.
