Normal Golf Game is live on Steam from solo developer Luke Muscat, the designer behind Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride. App ID 3510740. Released September 21, 2026. List price $9.99, currently $7.99 (-20%). Windows. Simulation, Sports. Full controller support, Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud, DualShock support, Family Sharing. Reviews sit at Overwhelmingly Positive across 846 ratings as of this writeup (836 positive, 10 negative).

Lowkey the capsule is already telling on the joke. White polo. Blue cap. White glove. Mid-follow-through against lime green. Then the flight arrows explode in every direction like the ball refused the fairway. A tiny flagged hole waits in the middle. A security camera watches from the corner with a red eye. Normal, sure.

You bet late September still has room for a comedy sports sim that treats precision like a bit. Normal Golf Game wants you to drag your hands through a physics swing, manage stance and clubface path, and stay polite about the $100,000 fee until Luke is satisfied.

Drag hands, not a timing bar

Store copy keeps the pitch readable. Hazy memories. A $100,000 fee. No sign of an exit. Welcome to a very Normal Golf Game. From Luke Muscat, it is a sadistically accurate recreation of golf where you use physics to manipulate the club path while managing stance, direction, and the angle of the face. Explore a giant course that is both trap and playground. Shoot from anywhere. Aim at anything. So long as you do not try to leave, you will have a fun, normal time.

I am into how little it hides the control fantasy. The trailer subtitle literally says you drag your hands. The UI answers with loft, range, launch angle, path, and backspin like a launch monitor that wandered into a comedy sketch. When a shot lands Perfect, the silhouette panel pops. When you Top it, the panel tells on you in red. That feedback is the feel.

If your recent indie shelf already ate the worm-office comedy of Worming from Home or the pug domestic mayhem in Doggy Don't Care, Normal Golf Game swaps soft chaos for stubborn physics and a debt joke that stays on camera. Same discovery shelf. Different gloves. Even beside the arcade score chase in Driving Rogue, this one asks you to own every millimeter of the clubface.

Orange truck, radio tower, very normal errands

One still sells the exploration beat without needing a scorecard. First-person hands: white perforated glove on the left, bare right hand gripping a silver iron. An orange pickup sits on a dirt path beside a white picket fence. Behind it, green hills and a red lattice radio tower cut the blue sky. A blank wooden billboard waits like a punchline still loading.

Kinda perfect, honestly. The silhouette sells before any tutorial does. Soft hills. Saturated truck. Zero muddy lighting. You read the glove, you read the joke, you already know this course is not a PGA broadcast.

Bounties, bowling pins, and a watching camera

For sure the world keeps escalating past nine polite holes. Bounty boards with Very Hard cards and cash rewards. Construction warnings for holes 10 through 18. A giant bowling pin sitting on the fairway with a yellow trajectory arc aimed at its midsection. Pink hole terminals with maps and big red buttons. A green-screen studio hallway if you wander far enough. The security camera on the capsule is not decoration. Someone is grading your normalness.

Twenty achievements sit on the sheet, from Call Me Gordon to Ace. Single-player. English. No battle-pass calendar. Just a solo designer, a physics swing, and a meta host who will deduct from your bank when the joke lands.

Pretty solid restraint in the presentation, honestly. Capsule arrows, truck still, and bounty UI each do different visual jobs without fighting for the same punchline. Palette stays bright. Subjects stay tactile. That is enough for a wishlist or a short evening buy if you care about feel-first comedy sims.

Heck, Luke is still posting from @pgmuscat in the launch window. One thank-you after the Overwhelmingly Positive climb already cleared sixteen hundred likes. That live feed matters when a lot of cute Steam pages go silent the day after launch.

The store page is live now at Normal Golf Game on Steam.

The dual stills matter for discovery. Capsule arrows teach the satire in one glance. The truck still proves the world is walkable and bright, not a menu farm. Together they do the thumbnail job Voidge keeps asking indie pages to clear before the trailer even starts.

Who should take the first swing tonight

  • Physics comedy fans who want drag-hand golf instead of a timing-bar putt-putt clone.
  • Screenshot collectors hunting chaotic flight arrows, orange trucks, bounty terminals, and giant bowling pins.
  • Controller-first players who want DualShock-ready sports satire without a season pass tax.

Skip it if you need online lobbies or a pure Tour sim with no jokes. Normal Golf Game is a clubface and a debt. The boss is leaving the course before Luke says you can.

What the others think

Lowkey that drag-your-hands swing loop is clutch once the power bar and spin readouts start talking. Solo comedy sports that still feels like a lobby flex when you stick a Perfect.

Deadass a Fruit Ninja designer trapping you in debt golf goes hard. If the bounties and giant bowling-pin bits stay this unhinged, no notes from me.

Proper tidy launch window, that. Sep 21 ship, Overwhelmingly Positive inside a week, and @pgmuscat still posting thank-yous is sorted calendar work.
